On behalf of our faculty and staff, a very happy parent appreciation day to each of you!

Please join us for Ash Wednesday's Mass

Please join us for our Ash Wednesday Mass on Wed., Feb. 10th at 9 a.m. celebrated by our Father Bill. Ashes will be distributed.

Wishing everyone a prayerful Lent.

Illinois State Tax Credit for K-12 Students

From the Archdiocese...

As part of our commitment to provide academically excellent and affordable Catholic education, we continue to explore and communicate opportunities for financial assistance for our school families.

With that in mind, we want to remind you of the Illinois State Tax Credit for K-12 students. The Illinois Department of Revenue offers a tax credit for certain educational expenses, including tuition, for those who qualify. The total annual credit can be up to $500. It may provide some financial relief during the tax season.

For more information, parents may consult with a tax professional and refer to the Illinois Department of Revenue Publication 132, "Education Expense Credit General Rules and Requirements for Parents and Guardians” http://tax.illinois.gov/Publications/Pubs/Pub-132.pdf

This is for informational purposes only and cannot be relied upon as tax advice. Any questions should be directed to a qualified tax professional.

Latest Box Top Challenge Announced

From Mrs. Duda (our Box Tops Coordinator)

Happy New Year everyone! We are on to our first box tops challenge of the new year. This one will be for a $20 gift card of the student's choice. The winner will be able to select from a Target, Wal-Mart or Game Stop gift card. Again, for every 20 box tops submitted you will receive 1 chance to win. So start pasting those box tops on the collection sheets!

Don't forget you can also send them in a baggie or an envelope, if you don't have a sheet. Please make sure to mark everything you send in with the student's name and teacher.

This challenge will continue until Friday, March 18. We will announce the winner the week before Easter Break so the winner can use his/her gift card for something fun over Easter vacation!

As always, ideas for box top challenges are welcome. We will have one more challenge after this, so if anyone has a great idea, please let me know. If anyone would like to donate tickets to a sporting event or other fun event to be used in the last challenge, that would be great! Keep clipping everyone! Let's collect some box tops!

Ball in the Hall Update

We are hard at work on our 2nd Annual Ball in the Hall, and we need your help! We are seeking donations of services of all kinds. Are you a plumber, an electrician, a carpenter, a painter, a landscaper? Do you cut hair, prepare taxes, design websites, repair computers? Are you a tutor, a piano teacher, a dog walker, a babysitter? Whatever you do, people will love to win some of your time! We can even provide you with documentation so you can claim it as a charitable donation on your taxes. Please call the Parish Office at 708-895-6700 to donate or for more information. School families will receive a volunteer hour for donating!
