Get some GOLD $tar$ - Fellowship Week is coming!
No matter what year you are, it's a good time to think about what's next. And winning a sick fellowship is a great thing to do next. Next week is Fellowship week and there are TONS of opportunities to learn more about awards for the UK, STEM, Fulbrights, general fellowship process things. Really, why wouldn't you try to get free money?

CLA Peer Advisor Positions Open!
The Center for Academic Advising is currently recruiting Peer Advisors to start in May 2020
During the fall, spring and summer semesters, the primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting students at the front desk
- Assisting students in scheduling appointments
- Answering phones; providing timely and accurate information and/or referrals to appropriate University offices/resources
- Having a general knowledge of University programs, services, policies, and procedures
- Completing other office duties as assigned
In addition, during the summer, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting academic advisors in the preparation of New Student Orientation files
- Presenting on navigating Self-Service Banner and using DARS to new students
- Helping students to understand collegial and General Education (GenEd) requirements
- Assisting students with course selection and registration
- Completing other special projects as assigned
In order to be considered for a Peer Advisor position:
- Your current GPA must be a minimum of 3.0
- You must be available to participate in mandatory training sessions: May 11th - May 22nd
- You must be available to work throughout summer & fall 2020 & spring 2021
- You must be available to work year-round (fall, winter break, spring & summer)
- You must be a Work Study recipient

Art Museum Internships and Fellowships!
The Museum Studies Internship Program exposes you to the inner workings of a major metropolitan museum, promoting careers in the field through experiences not available in most academic settings. Participants will receive a $3,000 stipend to cover living expenses. Academic credit may be available through your institution. Email internships@philamuseum.org for more info.

The Mellon Undergraduate Fellowship provides specialized training in the curatorial field for students from historically underrepresented backgrounds. Applications now open for this year’s Summer Academy (June 14-21, 2020). The Academy is a one-week immersion and participation is required before applying for the Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship. Stipend and housing assistance available.

MRE Relay Race
Wednesday, Feb. 19th, 4 PM
Student Center
Do you strive to be an environmentally conscious student? Do you eat free pizza? Do both at the MRE Relay Race on Wednesday, February 19th at 4 PM! The Office of Sustainability is partnering with Temple University Army ROTC to disassemble 600 MREs (meals ready to eat) whose heating elements cannot be disposed of into normal waste streams. You'll open the MREs and sort the components into the correct waste streams.Compete as an individual or on a team of up to 6 people to see if you can sort those pesky MREs the quickest. The WINNER takes home the title and some amazing prizes! THERE WILL BE FREE PIZZA.
