iReady: 8th grade will complete iReady testing this week. All other grades will finish/complete make-up testing this week as well.
Passion Projects: Continue the great work you've been doing with your projects. We cant wait to see the final products.
Close Out: Inventory lists were due Friday. If you did not complete, please do so by end of day Monday. This allows enough time for us to order materials for next year. Please reach out with any questions!
Important Announcements and Reminders!
- Hall Passes and Supervision: Please check for hall passes when scholars are traveling throughout the building! Scholars should not be in the halls without passes and definitely not in the gym. Let's continue hold our scholars to high expectations as we end the year. Also, please ensure that we are supervising while on the recess yard, including the playground.
- National Honor Society Induction will be taking place shortly, teachers please be aware scholars may be pulled for practice.
- Special Services teachers will be pulling on a modified schedule this week. Please do not allow scholars out to see them unless it is confirmed by you.

Kudos Corner
- Kudos to Coach Marazas and Coach Davis for your leadership with track and field. They have been sacrificing their Saturdays to give our scholars a meaningful experience. This past weekend we had many scholars PR and come in first place in their meets. Nice work!
- Kudos to Mr. Roman for stepping into his greatness in his colleagues absence by ensuring we kept high standards behaviorally across the academy.
- Kudos to Collegiate team members for pitching in when needed.
- Kudos to Mr. Fleming for helping with Collegiate's Gator Challenge!
- Kudos to Ms. Leggett, Mr. Lamb, Ms. Thompson, Mrs. Forrest-Jones, Ms. Stoecker, Mrs. Dawson, Mr. Fleming, Mrs. Kennedy and everyone who stepped up to lead last week while the 8th grade excursion was out! We thank you for your commitment!
- A special thank you to all of the Rising Stars Team Members for pulling together, to make our Blue Party a success for our Scholars. Your flexibility, patience, perseverance and dedication to the work that we do on a daily basis, continues to make a difference in our Academy!
- Kudos to Ms. Berdan for teaching like a champion! There was not a day last week that rigor was not at a 10 in your class. 99% of your scholars were on task every morning, during morning work. Thank you for continuing to shine!
Together We can Keep GLA Sparkling
