Message from Dr. Harmer
Hello Eagleville Families,
At the start of this week our teachers and specialist have begun administering district benchmark assessments. These assessments will be used to inform our instruction for your child. Benchmark assessment data will also be used to provide appropriate instructional interventions for students. As a school we will communicate if your child will be receiving an intervention based on the data. Using benchmark data coupled with classroom assessments and teacher observations will allow teachers to provide your child with an educational experience.

UNIVERSAL FREE BREAKFAST PROGRAM
On Friday, September 9, 2022, Governor Wolf announced a Universal Free Breakfast program for all Pennsylvania students to begin on October 1, 2022 through the end of the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, all Methacton School District students will have the option to receive breakfast each morning at no cost. Our building principals are working on a plan with Aramark to roll out this new program and will be providing additional information in the coming days. Mrs. Navarette’s class celebrates International Dot Day virtually with the author of “The Dot.”
Kinders have adjusted so well to full day and are doing an awesome job at lunch!
How Can I Donate to the Backpack Program
There are several ways you can contribute to the Backpack Program:
Collection Bins
· Donations can be dropped off (Monday thru Friday) at the Methacton High School East Wing or Arcola Intermediate School. Collection bins are located near the entrance.
Amazon
· You can place an order through Amazon and ship it directly to the High School. Please remember to select, "No Weekend Delivery". The address is:

What items can I donate?
Individual Serving Food Items Needed
· Single serving boxes of milk (shelf-stable/not refrigerated)
· Mini Cereal Boxes
· Canned Soup (cans with "pop tops")
· Oatmeal packets or cups
· Applesauce and Fruit Cups
· Chef Boyardee, Hormel, Dinty Moore Meals, etc.
· Easy Mac Cups
· Cracker packs
· Sweet Snacks: Fruit gummies, pudding, granola bars, etc.
· Salty Snacks: Pretzel packs, Goldfish, Popcorn, etc.
· 100% Juice boxes
New Five Day Schedule
All the elementary schools will be operating on a five day (1,2,3,4,5) day cycle. The first day of school in day 1, the second day of school is day 2, etc. This will prevent students from missing certain classes that happen on certain days of the week. Counselor's Corner
This week Kinders practiced some skills to make friends. These skills include making eye contact, using that just right voice volume and always using kind words. You can reinforce this lesson with any grade student by practicing these skills at the dinner table, during activities with your child, on playdates or even allowing them to order their own meal at restaurants. Attendance
If your child is absent/tardy, please call the Child Check Line at 610-831-5325 and give your child’s name, grade, teacher’s name and a reason for the absence. Your child is considered “unexcused” until we receive that information. If we not receive a message from you, we will “attempt” to reach you.
Important Bus Rider Information
Just a reminder that students must ride home on the buses that they are assigned. Notes from the parents giving them permission to ride home on another bus is not permissible. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

LobbyGuard-Entrance to Building
All visitors to the building must have a valid driver's license or US passport when volunteering and signing in or signing out your child.
Student Birthdays
Due to food allergy reasons, we are not permitting edible birthday treats to be brought into school. We realize that birthdays are special to our students and families. We appreciate your support.
