OLVCS Updates
April 14th, 2023
Dear Families and Friends of Our Lady of Victory Catholic School,
He is Risen! Happy Easter, everyone! The beautiful weather has been a great bonus to the celebration of the holiday and gifted our short school week with some opportunities to get outside.
During today’s school Mass, sponsored by our amazing 7th graders, Father George educated our students on some of the properties of a resurrected body, as revealed in the body of our Resurrected Lord. He also asked the children to participate as he guided them through a better understanding of the image of the Divine Mercy.
Thank you for supporting our school!
Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, and participating in Trivia Night this evening and to Heather Lukac and a number of parent committee members for organizing this event. Thank you for your support of this fun, social activity for or school community and the blessing it provides the Pre-K through 8 staff of Our Lady of Victory!
Additional thanks to Ashley Page, Andrea Seisler, Paul Fritzsche, Patty Houtz, and so many other who helped to setup, organize, run, donate, and financially support our Used Uniform Sale yesterday. It was a great success and all proceeds go into the Angel Fund, an emergency fund to assist our families in difficult times. Many thanks to everyone!
As always, please continue to scroll through our newsletter for all of the upcoming activities, fundraisers, and other opportunities from our parish and schools.
God bless,
Jim Hoy

OLV Track & Field Team Competes Strong
The boys and girls on the OLV Track team traveled to Bellefonte last week for a meet against the Red Raiders and Central Mountain Wildcats. Many of our Crusaders earned a “PR bar” (chocolate bar given by Coach Straub to those who ran faster, threw farther, or jumped farther than their best in a previous competition). This week turned out to be a training week, as the meet against Tyrone has been moved to this coming Monday, April 17th. Our Crusaders will also compete against athletes from SCASD on Wednesday, April 19th at the SCASD Track and Field facility. All are invited to come out and cheer on our Crusaders!
