Special Class Feature
This week in Mrs. Townsend's 7th and 8th grade computer classes, students are writing and typing letters to Military and Veterans through Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is based in California, and they send thousands of care packages each year to deployed troops, veterans, recruit graduates, first responders and wounded heroes & their caregivers. Each care packet sent includes several letters and colorful drawings to show our heroes "We Care!" Students are working hard to put forth meaningful and encouraging words in their letters. Mrs. Townsend hopes to mail letters off next week. If you would like more information about Operation Gratitude, please visit operationgratitude.com.
CCA Chapel
All across history, those who tell others about God have been killed for spreading the gospel. The reality of a blind man I met overseas, Ben, has beheld the light of Christ, even though he is blind. Have you seen the light of Jesus? Through faith, desire, His Word, the light of Jesus is so desirable. Are we just going through the motions, or are we living our life for Jesus?
Matthew 4:19 says, follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Spurgeon College exists to train and equip students to be Christian leaders for the Kingdom of God. Josiah is doing that.
After chapel Josiah was able to talk with students in 6th-12th grades about being disciples of God and doing missions work. CCA will be praying for Josiah and all Spurgeon College students as they navigate mission work for the Lord.
Senior Spotlight--Priscilla
This week's Senior Spotlight is Priscilla Lanning. Priscilla has attended CCA since Pre-K. What she has liked most is the people she has met, and the friends she has made over the years. Priscilla’s parents are Michele and Ken Lanning, she also has two siblings: Lydia and Jonah. Priscilla has one dog, a Beagle named Bandit, who she adores! Priscilla’s future plans are to attend college. When asked what her favorite CCA memory is, she said, it was her Sophomore year, and it was the second night at BBC in Springfield. Priscilla’s favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. When asked if there were any CCA teachers that have made a positive impact on her life, she said, Mr. See; he taught her to work hard and to study hard! She plays soccer and volleyball. Some of Priscilla’s hobbies are reading and drawing!
We are very thankful to have Priscilla at CCA. She may seem quiet, but once you get to know her, she can be quite funny. Many of the underclassmen look up to her. We pray that the Lord will bless Priscilla and her future, and that He will help her choose the right career! -Audrey
CCA's December Character Trait: Patience
D is for Dog
D is for Dog is what Mrs. Kernohan's K4 class has been learning recently. Donna Trimble brought their dog in for the class to see. Thank you Holten for sharing your dog as students learn that D is for Dog.
Survey Says...
According to realsimple.com, real Christmas trees are the better choice, since they are cheaper, provide a family tradition, a good aroma in your home and they are easily recycled. Fake Christmas trees offer no mess or maintenance, they are reusable even though initially more expensive, and they can be customized. - Audrey

Operation Christmas Child
On the 20th of November, the Junior and Senior classes of Clinton Christian Academy went to the First Baptist Church and helped load shoe boxes. They are shipped to the Processing Center in North Carolina for Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse: Operation Christmas Child is an organization that seeks to demonstrate God’s love to children around the world. Samaritan’s Purse coordinates with many different churches worldwide to share the Gospel and make disciples. Every year for Christmas, the Samartian’s Purse collects these shoe boxes that have been filled with presents, personal hygiene items, and school supplies. Since it’s inception in 1993, these shoe boxes have been given to over 209 million children in more than 170 countries and territories. The CCA students helped load 16,031 shoes boxes onto three trailers. It was a great opportunity to serve our community locally and globally.
