Libraries Are For Everyone
This display seems especially timely as some of the grade levels read/talked about Black History Month in their library classes during February. Our read alouds and activities had students talking about integration, inclusion, and acceptance of all races.
The awesome signs were downloaded from Rebecca McCorkindale's website. She graciously shares her artwork/creations with anybody who is interested. Her signs can be found at https://hafuboti.com/2017/02/02/libraries-are-for-everyone/ and are available in many different languages.
Book Fair Was Successful
THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the book fair a success! The success of the book fair would not be possible without the support and enthusiasm of the entire WE community. The book fair always serves as a great reminder of how Wanamaker truly loves and values the power of reading. A special thank you to Cheryl Fewell, Book Fair Chairperson, and all the other volunteers whose help was greatly appreciated!
