Principal's Note
Dear Families,
March 4th signifies the end of our 2nd trimester. Where does the time go! There is no school on Friday, March 5th due to conferences. Spring break is here- March 8th-March 12th. I hope that everyone has the ability to shut off, enjoy your time away, and return rested and ready to finish the year strong.
The collaboration between home and school continues to enhance the qualities that make Carver a unique learning environment for your students. That has never been tested as much as it has the last year. It is hard to believe that we entered distance learning one year ago. At Carver, we continue to honor the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices that staff, students, and families have had to go through with this pandemic. A huge shout out to our Carver staff. You always put what is best for students first and do such an amazing job. I am proud to be a part of this community!
Have a great spring break and see you back on March 15th!
Sincerely,
Gena Abrahamson, Principal

Students may take mask breaks for outdoor recess.
Students go out for recess every day unless the temperature is below zero degrees, the windchill is below -10 degrees, and/or it is raining.

What do I need to bring back to school when I come back to in-person learning:
Computer charged each day with the charging cord
Math workbook
Social Studies workbook (only some grade levels received this)
Mask
Winter gear- we will be going outside for recess and waiting outside before and after school
Distance Learning Students - What to expect
- SeeSaw - Beginning on Monday, January 25th (K-2) and Monday, February 8th (3-5) your homeroom class will be updated. If your student has a teacher change, you will notice the change at this time.
Specialists for Distance Learning
We will be on a 9 day rotation. Students will have music, STEM, or physical education for 9 days and then will rotate.
Students need to complete specialist work in the 9 day rotation to keep pace with their in-person learners. Getting in the routine of completing one lesson each day is ideal.
Specialists will not hold Wednesday live zoom sessions at this time.
In-person learners will follow the 9 day rotation with their grade level class.
