4 C's Focus this Week- Communication
4 C's Tweeting - Please make sure you Tweet Something, Anything, Everything Around the 4C's
We WANT TO SEE the 4C's in action in your classrooms, your lunchrooms, your activities, your professional development and more!!!! And there is nothing wrong with a little friendly COMPETITION!!!
The competition is back. This time the battle is between the principals with the focus being on Communication. This week as you are going through your lessons or using video clips that represent Communication please let me know so that I can come around and tweet it out. My personal goal is to tweet at least 5 times per day for the remainder of the week. Help me get my TWEET ON!!! Thanks for your support in advance
Research strongly suggests that when a learner is exploring a concept for understanding, trying to answer a question, or attempting to solve a problem, she's more successful if there is an opportunity to engage in dialogue with another learner. The depth of understanding of a concept that can be achieved, and the ability to internalize the learning to be able to apply it in new or different applications, is increased. According to one study by Arreaga-Mayer and Perdomo-Rivera, in many schools, student-to-student dialogue makes up less than four percent of the classroom learning experience of students, when approximately forty percent of their time should be used in dialogue in order to maximize effective learning.
