It Makes A Better Team
"Sportsmanship is a behavioral concept worth exploration because of the seemingly disconnect between the understanding of it and its practice in youth sport." said a white paper summary. Sportsmanship can be good or bad either way the subject chooses. "Some people define good sportsmanship as the "golden rule" of sports — in other words, treating the people you play with and against as you'd like to be treated yourself." said a kids health article. It mostly depends on the situation. Lets use a soccer game for example. If you win you could still use good or bad sportsmanship. You could laugh and say you won and the other team lost. That would be rubbing it in their face. Or you could compliment them on what they did well during the game. If you lose you can say it wasn’t fair and that they cheated. But that would just be a sore loser. Or you could smile and congratulate the other team on their accomplishment. If one team has good sportsmanship the other is guaranteed to have good sportsmanship as well.
