Ancient Architecure
Have you ever wondered how the Greeks got their Architecture so symmetriecal and strait? Well here it is, the Greeks used a special rope tied into three knots, these three knots were tied so the lengths of rope inbetween the knots length's were in a 3:4:5 ratio. They would stand on one knot while pulling the other two to form a right angle. Also, they would use different lengths of rope to measure out the doorframes on the Coloseum (above).

There is a program known as the B.Arch. program, it usually takes five years to complete. Also, there is a pre-professional bachelor's degree program called the M.Arch program, in architectural studies or construction management, that takes around four years to complete.

They are all famous for different buildings they designed, such as Frank Lloyd Wright made The House on the Rock, Zaha Hadid is famous for the 2020 Olympic Stadium, and last but not least Frank Gehry is known for building Walt Disney Concert Hall.

How do architects decide on scale
Architects decide on scale by using a special ruler, known as an architectural scale ruler. This ruler has three different sides with 3-4 different scales on each side. They are used by finding the scale on a blue print, for example 1/8 of and inch on the map is a foot in the real building, and you take the correct side of the ruler and measure the blueprint to see how long the section is in real life.
