Paper Bag Princess

We compared and contrasted the play we saw on our field trip to the book we read in class! Students noticed similarities and differences by thinking of the key details in both!

Skyping with Sean Ash on DLDay!

Today was Digital Learning Day! Digital learning is the instructional practice that effectively uses technology to strengthen a student's learning experience. We spent time researching on different databases during Lightbulb Lab! We also had the opportunity to utilize an incredible digital resource available to teachers-Skype! We skyped with meteorologist Sean Ash from WTHR! He taught us about the weather and being a meteorologist!

Candy Bar Bingo!

The PTO will be hosting Candy Bar Bingo at TCE on Friday, March 20th from 6:00-8:30pm. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend due to family arriving that evening from FL. However, the other second grade teachers and Mrs. Hopper will be calling bingo numbers from 6:50-7:15. There will be a raffle at the event where you can bid on "Teacher Experiences!" My "Teacher Experience" that you can bid on will be to stay after school with me and a friend. We will eat pizza and enjoy a movie!

CANDY BAR BINGO GENIUS HOUR PROJECT-AISLYNN'S ANGELS

Please see below for a message from 4th graders in Mrs. Gibson's Class regarding a special project they have been working on!

Candy Bar Bingo is almost here! It is Friday, March 20th from 6:00 to 8:30. We are 4th graders in Mrs. Gibson’s class and for our Genius Hour project we want to help an HSE family. We are selling cookies, wristbands, and candles for Fishers Junior High student, Aislynn Ball, who has Gardner’s syndrome. The money will be donated to her family for Aislynn’s medical bills. Gardner’s syndrome is a type of syndrome that makes tumors grow all over your body.

The wristbands are $2.00 and the cookies are $1.00. The tea light candles are 50¢, the medium candles are $1.00 and the large is $1.50.

We will be selling from 6:00 to 7:30. Make sure to bring money to Candy Bar Bingo!

We hope to see you there!
