Dealey Dragon Weekly Update
Week of September 25th
Principal News and Notes
Thank you for being on top of your PD plans and SLOs. We've received many this week and I can see that several are in progress. Please let us know if you have any trouble uploading your information and we will get you some help to meet our deadline of this Friday.
We will have professional development after school on Tuesday, so it's very important that you use the link to google sheets and sign up for the session you would like to attend by the end of the day tomorrow. (Monday, Sept. 28th) There is a brief description below of each session. Presenters and room locations are included.
This week is Education Go Get It Week. Our first day is "The Sky's the Limit" day, so don't forget to wear blue shirts and accessories. Take advantage of this week as an opportunity to talk with your students about not only attending, but graduating from college. These conversations are great motivators for our kids, but should also benefit you when student surveys are taken.
I saw so many great things as I visited classrooms this week and I'm really looking forward to seeing much more this week. You all are doing a great job! Keep up the hard work.
Have a great Education Go Get It week!

Daily SEL Thoughts from Ms. Winners!
Monday: Appear positive, think positive, act positive and the character of those around you will improve! Let your actions show kindness, good manners, and respect toward the ideas of others so others may want to do the same.
Tuesday: Gain peace inside yourself by practicing good character traits such as honesty, respect, responsibility and courage.
Wednesday: It takes courage to practice good character traits when those around you choose not to do the same, but it’s peaceful to know you have chosen the right thing!
Thursday: Your character is your choice. People can point out good character traits and the results that follow, but only you can choose to practice these good character traits.
Friday: Your good character is something that can never be taken away from you unless you make the choice to change it. If you have good manners and are kind to others, that will remain a part of your character unless you choose to be rude or mean.
