Lower School Weekly News
April 1-5
Dear Parents,
As we navigate through this semester, we're also gearing up for the next school year. I want to this opportunity to shed light on how we form class lists.
Class placement is a lengthy process that involves not only your child’s current classroom teacher but also other school personnel. I personally facilitate the placement process with each team of grade-level teachers. We give careful consideration to your child's academic, social, and emotional needs, along with maintaining balanced classes.
At Brook Hill, we pride ourselves on providing consistent excellence across all classrooms. Teachers collaborate to ensure a Christ-centered, college preparatory experience for every student.
While we maintain consistency, we also recognize the unique qualities of each child and teacher. Your input is valuable as we tailor class lists to challenge students appropriately and help them become the young men and women God has created them to be.
If you have insights to share, please use the Confidential Student Placement form by May 1st. We ask that you do NOT request a specific teacher or specific students, as it would be impossible to accommodate each request due to the balance of gender, class size, and student needs. We value your partnership in your child's education.
Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Faithfully,
Meri Mullicane
Lower School Principal
Brook Hill Families,
We are excited to announce that registration for Brook Hill's 2024 Summer Camps is now open! We have an exciting lineup of camps designed to engage and inspire students of all grade levels.
To view the full list of camps and to register, please visit our Summer Camps page (click HERE). On this page, you can use the filters at the top to sort camps by grade level and cost, making it easy to find the perfect fit for your child.
We look forward to a fun and enriching summer with your child at Brook Hill!
Visitors to Campus
We always love having our parents, grandparents, and visitors join us for chapel each week! It is such a blessing, and we want to encourage you to come anytime! As per our security team, we are going to request that all visitors check in with the front desk and obtain a “Visitor’s Tag” for chapel. We know that this is something different from our normal procedure, but in refining security for our entire school, this is something that is going to change for us. Thank you very much for adjusting to this protocol and know that it is for the continued safety and security of our students, families, faculty, and staff.

This summer, we engaged with a new food service company called TAHER. They come highly recommended and we are excited for your student to get to have the TAHER experience during lunch. You can find the link to the lunch menu on your Veracross Parent Portal, or you can click the button at the bottom of this email.
TAHER is managing the entire payment system for Lower School Lunches this year. It is a pre-pay system, similar to how we did lunch in the past, however it is a third-party system and entirely separate from Brook Hill. You can click the button below to create your account, log in, and add funds to your account. They also offer a mobile app called School Payment Portal Mobile in both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. Click the appropriate button below to download the app. If you had a positive balance from last year, we are working to add that as a credit to your new account balance. Meals range from $6.25-$6.50 per meal; a la carte charges may apply for students who request extra portions.
