Beautiful Nation Project
The World Is Your 'Ocean'
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sail around the world? You will want to get involved with this project!
Geographic Inspiration and Education
The Beautiful Nation Project
By combining 21st Century tools and the timeless art of storytelling, you can join the five daring crew as they navigate the high seas! Students and members of the Beautiful Nation social network will be able to engage in real-time messaging and videoconferencing with the crew throughout the journey, as well as make suggestions for topics to investigate along the route.
Set Sail
This is the world's first-ever virtual tour of the planet! You can take part in the journey, help sculpt the route and collectively make decisions regarding ports of call. In this network, language and cultural obstacles have been eliminated from your communication.
Learn and Explore
This journey is not a game. If you have ever wanted to travel the world and learn about new and exciting cultures, this is a journey you will want to jump aboard. Our trip around the world will be your trip around the world.
Meet BNation
We are experienced sailors, educators, scientists and artists. Our mission is to circumnavigate the planet and take you with us, while educating the world about the places we visit and explore through social networking.
We Need Your Support!
Be a Citizen of the Sea
"I am a citizen of the most beautiful nation on earth. A nation whose laws are harsh yet simple, a nation that never cheats, which is immense and without borders, where life is lived in the present. In this limitless nation, this nation of wind, light, and peace, there is no other ruler besides the sea." - Bernard Moitessier
Set Sail With Us
Our planet is over 24,000 miles around and almost entirely covered in water. The sea determines our weather and shapes life as we know it. What do you know about the sea? Follow the Beautiful Nation Project to learn more about our oceans and marine ecosystems.
Help Restore Makulu
Life throws curve balls, and weather happens. Makulu, the trusty BNation ship, was damaged by Hurricane Sandy. However, as a Nautor Swan, she was built to survive and will be restored with a little help from her friends!
Donate to The Beautiful Nation Project
The Beautiful Nation Project aims to foster a youthful enthusiasm for our planet, and there are no more capable education outreach partners than Reach the World and Agastya to help us reach our goal!
Your invaluable support will ensure that Makulu is ready to sail! If you have ideas for fundraising, or would like to contribute your time to fundraising efforts, send us an email at thebeautifulnationproject@gmail.com.
