Skype with Margaret Peterson Haddix

For upper Elementary age youth and older
A special visit with Margaret Peterson Haddix where you will get to ask her questions, learn what an author's life is like, and learn about her current work. This is free to the public but registrations are required by calling 254-4586. Learn more about her books by clicking on her name above.
Preschool Power

Ages: 4-5 year olds
Children will hear great stories, songs, and make new friends. A themed story time will introduce early literacy skills in a fun setting. Registration is required.
Lapsit Rhyme Time

Time: 10:30-11:00
Ages: 4-23 month olds with a parent/caregiver
These programs will be entertaining for the babies and instructive for parents and caregivers. Early literacy skills will be highlighted. Sign up is required and space is limited.
Toddler Time
Feb. 7, 14, 21 March 7, 14, 21 April 11 & 25
Time: 10:30-11:00
Ages: 2-3 year olds with a parent/caregiver
Children and parents come along and join the fun. Enjoy stories, rhymes, and songs focused on different themes each week. Sign-up for the month of special story times with your little ones. Registration is required.
Lego Club
Jan. 2, Feb. 6, March 6, April 3
Time: 4:15-5:00
Ages: 6 years old and older
Bring your families and friends to build, create and have fun at these sessions where all you need to bring is your imagination, Legos will be provided. Registration is not required for Lego Club.
Purdue Extension & WCPL offers a
March 28 10:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Ages: 2-5 years of age with a parent/caregiver
Purdue Extension of Daviess County and the library invite you to come have fun. Block Party events are times of free play with blocks of all sizes for families and their children ages 2-5 years.
Stations will be set up, each with a different set of blocks that aids the children in learning a specific skill. Parents are provided with parenting tips and information on how they can help their child or children develop each skill.

Heartsong
A bereavement program for children ages 5-12 and their families who have experienced the death of someone. Offered by Good Samaritan Hospice free of charge. Please call 812.885.8035 to register.
Meets once a month in the library's large meeting room at 4:00-5:30 p.m.
