Prestwick LEarns- 2nd grade readers
Second grade students chose books and read independently, they read to one another, wrote poetry and they played games with high frequency words. Moments like this we get a glimpse into the the joy of their learning. The love of reading will stay with them as they take journeys to unique places via books. Take time to enjoy reading with your children ~ it's one of the best gifts you can give them!

Staff Spotlight
Welcome back, Lobos!
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break. For this week’s Staff Spotlight, PSA is excited to introduce our Physical Education Aide, Coach Matt Harner. Coach Harner is from a small town an hour west of Columbus, Ohio known as Cedarville. He graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Health. He later earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. This is Coach Harner’s 2nd year in the education profession and first year with us at PSA.
What Coach Harner loves about working at PSA is the different age ranges from Kindergarten to Middle School. “It’s exciting to coach and develop skills from students that are just learning about coordination and fine motor skills to expanding their brief knowledge of the different sports."
An interesting fact about Coach Harner is that he played college basketball at Cedarville University and holds the school record for most 3-pointers made in one season. In Coach Harner’s free time, he enjoys being physically active, playing sports like basketball and golf, and coaching his basketball club team.
Coach Harner has been a tremendous addition to our Prestwick staff. In addition, PSA would like to thank Coach Harner for his outstanding service and support with working with kids!

LPGA Event @ Old American Golf Club
Local residents & businesses often ask us how they can get involved and make a positive difference in our schools. Here's a chance to give back to your community and directly impact kids' lives.
The Little Elm ISD Education Foundation provides grants to teachers and scholarships to graduating seniors thanks to the generosity of local citizens and businesses. The Foundation has been given the incredible opportunity to earn a substantial amount of money that will go directly back to LEISD teachers and students.
We need volunteers to help park cars at the upcoming LPGA Event at the Old American Golf Club on Monday, April 30 through Sunday, May 6. We need anyone age 16+ with a valid driver's license. If you or someone you know can spare some time on those dates it would greatly benefit the Foundation's efforts.
Please feel free to share this information in newsletters or other means to help spread the word. We need a lot of help to make this opportunity a reality. Please contact Dr. Tony Tipton at ttipton@littleelmisd.net, 903-239-3475 (cell) for more information or details.
