Hitler's invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939 and drove Great Britain and France to declare war on Germany on September 3, 1939, and that was the beginning of World War II. World War II ended in 1945 and was the deadliest conflict in human history.

The Axis powers were a group of countries led by the Nazi Germany, The Kingdom of Italy, and the Empire of Japan. The Allies, led by the United Kingdom, France, Soviet Union, and the attack at Pearl Harbor led to the Unites States involvement.
