District Goal: WE empower all students to achieve post-high school success.
Please take a few moments to read our Fall 2018 update on the Bond Construction Program. We’ve been busy working to make improvements to our facilities. Thank you again to the Beaverton community for your support!
Secondary Student Cumulative GPA now viewable in ParentVue & StudentVue
ParentVue and StudentVue now display a student’s cumulative GPA in the Course History tab. For high school students, both weighted and unweighted cumulative GPA is displayed. When the weather gets snowy or icy, school schedules may be affected. The District generally posts the announcement of delayed school opening or school closure by 5:15 a.m. All Portland Metro area media outlets announce the information on TV newscasts and online.
The District makes decisions based on the ability to operate school buses safely; the ability for students and parents to get to school safely, and the ability for employees to get to work safely and on time. The decision that is made will be for the entire District. As always, parents may choose to make different decisions based on their particular location.
The District will notify parents and staff via SchoolMessenger with a Non-School Hours Emergency message. Please manage your communication preferences in SchoolMessenger InfoCenter.
For the latest inclement weather information:
- Log on to the District website and a light blue message banner will be posted on the top of the main page with the status of District operations.

Budget Listening & Learning Session - Hold’Em Exercise
Community members and District administrators participated in a hands-on Hold’Em exercise in which audience members engaged in a simulation where they had to evaluate and balance the District’s budget.
The next Budget Listening & Learning Session will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Highland Park Middle School, 7000 SW Wilson Ave., Beaverton
It takes a community to make strong public schools; thank you, Beaverton families, for your support
The Beaverton community rallied in support of our 53 public schools by donating more than $109,000 to the Beaverton Education Foundation (BEF) during their 20th annual Phone-a-thon. Thank you to all families who answered the call. Your donation impacts more than 41,000 Beaverton students!
Thank you to more than 350 high school student volunteer callers and to the top calling teams of each night: ACMA Dance West, Aloha Choir, Aloha Literary Magazine, Southridge Ski Team, and the Sunset Key Club. Each one of these teams were able to raise the most dollars on their respective calling nights.
As the non-profit school foundation for Beaverton’s public schools, BEF enhances our students’ education by raising money to fund hands-on, innovative, academic enrichment and advancement programs and projects that otherwise would not be possible with normal school funding. BEF mobilizes community resources to fund innovative classroom, summer and after-school programs.
If you missed the call, you can still help our 41,000 Beaverton students to have the opportunity to be inspired, think innovatively, and succeed by donating today at www.beavertonEDfoundation.org
