6th Grade Clap Out
WES is looking forward to celebrating our 6th grade students with a modified Clap out event. Our WES clap out is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16th at 11:30AM outside of Wrightstown Elementary. Available staff will be cheering/standing along the caravan route (social distancing and wearing masks) while families drive through the parking lot once. All car riders are expected to remain in their vehicles throughout the duration of this event. Sixth grade parents should refer to the email sent this past week along with the provided map of the parade route.
**Cars should assemble at the Grange Fair at 11:20 AM to form a procession to WES. Please enter the Wrightstown Elementary driveway via Penns Park Road and follow the map route provided below.

Congratulations to our new PTO Board Members
Please join me in thanking Mr. Larry McCarthy and Mrs. Dawn McBurney for their time, dedication and work the past several years as they served on the WES PTO Board. Their support of students and school programs has benefited us all. During last week's PTO meeting Mrs. Lindsey Halderman was approved as the new PTO Board Secretary and Mrs. Danielle Smith will serve as Treasurer. Congratulations to our new members!

ELA and Math Summer Resources
Children need a break in the summer, but it's a great idea to provide opportunities for them to maintain their skills during these months. Below you'll find a list of resources available to students to help them stay sharp in Reading and Math. These are activities that the children may find to be very entertaining. I highly suggest that parents take time to view these and share them with their children.
2020 Summer Reading and Writing Resources
Also, please note that students in grade K-5 will have access to their Journeys materials in ThinkCentral until July 31st. Current third and fourth grade students will have access to Typing Agent until July 31st.
In addition, you can find the packets for the ReadWorks Summer Reading Challenge, as well as the answer keys. They are recommended by grade level, however students may read and respond from a variety of these packets to gain extra reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Click HERE to find these packets.
