Parents- Help to see that your child is at school on the day of the test. They will see higher results when they test the same day as their fellow classmates. A good night's sleep is essential for peak performance on these tests. Your encouragement will also give our kids the confidence to tackle these tests with effort, skill, and perseverance.

Do Your Best On The Test!
I am so proud of my ELA students. We have worked so hard to make it through the curriculum for 5th and 6th grade. The fact that these kids give their best effort even though we are still working through this pandemic, really touches my heart. I can’t say enough about my hard workers!
Beginning in April, we will review our ELA curriculum to prepare for the state test. Our tests are April 13th and 14th. Please encourage your child to give their best effort. We will conquer these tests!
5th Grade ELA
After testing , we will practice writing, using proper email etiquette. Then, we will begin our first research project based on each student’s birthday. Kids are always shocked to see what happened in the country and the world when they were born.
6th Grade ELA
Sixth grade students will review proper email etiquette. We worked on this last year, but it’s never a bad idea to revisit it.
We will also be working on a few small projects that touch on many of our sixth grade ELA standards. We will be starting with The Lorax.
