Class Placement

We have begun the process of placing students into homeroom classes for next year. It is extremely important that this information remains confidential. Many changes can occur over the summer and sometimes they impact class placement. We had a problem last year that resulted in several meetings with parents because staff members shared information that should have been kept confidential. Your role is to provide feedback and input into class development. If you are asked, your response should be that you are not allowed to discuss anything related to class lists and placement. You may direct any parent inquiries to me. If you have any questions regarding your responsibility, please ask.

STAAR Testing is complete! Thank you for your flexibility and assistance during one of our most stressful and critical weeks!

16/17 Update - (Repeat)

No staffing changes to announce today, but we will be getting all new student desks next year. We will provide details about the transition as soon as we can.

We will be hosting Kids Club again this summer. :) (Channel your happy thoughts here...) We will provide details as soon as we can about which rooms will be used and how the campus will be impacted.

Access to the campus through your prox card will be deactivated beginning on June 13th. Your card will not work again until July 30th. Since Kids Club will be here anyway, this should force us all to relax and take some time off! The district is planning to have air conditioning back on and running from 7:30 - 4:30 daily beginning on August 6th. They will provide air on the weekends from then until the first day of school. Thanks, AISD!

Big Ideas for 16-17

Two hot topics right now seem to be physical movement during the school day (i.e. recess and movement breaks) and enrichment opportunities for students who have already mastered material. These would be great things to think about over the summer! :)
