The Battle Has Ended
The year is 1783 and last month the war was ended and we won! But it was all made possible by a document that goes by the name of... The Treaty Of Paris. I went a little deeper to get more info. Apparently peace talk started in 1782 with Richard Oswarld representing Great Britain and John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and John Jay representing the New Nation. It was signed by the British and the New Nation on September 3rd 1783.
Pros of The Treaty
Although signing came with many rights for the New Nation, for example it established fishing rights and enabled payments between Great Britain and the New Nation.
The Borders Are Set
It also set our new border from Georgia to the Great Lakes with the Mississippi River forming the western border but it ratifies independence of 13 states. Even though the the 13 colonies were recognized as an Independent Nation and now we are all happy, some are a little scared because our New Nation is playing with some of the most established powers on Earth.
