Welcome Back!

Follow up to our chaotic spring, we will be heading back to school in a less than traditional way. Nevertheless, we are excited to welcome back our students and staff! We ask students and families for continued patience, flexibility, and kindness during this ever-changing pandemic.

Return to Learn Plans

This year is not your average school year, so please take a minute to read the Return to Learn Plan that pertains to your child's school. If you have any questions, please contact your child's principal. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 8th. As of now, the plan is to return to school in-person, however, please keep in mind that a switch to hybrid or distance learning could happen in the coming months.

Mask Required

As part of the new return to learn plan, we are requiring students and staff to wear masks for the entire time they are inside the school building. This also includes visitors, however, we are asking that visitors do not enter the buildings unless absolutely necessary. Please also remind your children to wash hands frequently, and avoid congregating in groups during the school day.

Online Registration

A returning feature this year, is our online registration process through JMC. Please go to https://jmc.lqpv.org/Parent/Login to complete the back to school registration process prior to the first day of school (Tuesday, Sept. 8th). You should have received your login information in the back to school mailing. If you are having trouble logging in, please contact your child's school. A new feature this year is all payments can be made directly through JMC. We hope that this will provide families an easier way to pay lunch bills, activity fees, etc.

School Apps & Other Technology

There is a possibility that we will switch to a hybrid or distance learning plan at any point this year. It will be especially important to stay connected during that time. Here are a few resources that you will likely utilize:

**In addition to our school website, we have a downloadable app. In the play store or app store, search for 'School Pointe Stay Connected'. With this app, you will get alerts of school closings, and can access frequently used links.

**Teacher apps that may be used in the district include, Bloomz, Class Dojo, Remind and possibly others. These apps help parents stay in touch with teachers and coaches. Teachers will give instructions on how to access the app they will be using for the year.

**In the event of hybrid or distance learning models going into effect, each student will be provided a device to use at home for school purposes. Our district uses Google, meaning your child will have a school gmail account and be familiar with using Google Classroom. Please help your child keep your device in good, working order. If you ever need technology assistance, please contact Mr. Raddatz, draddatz@lqpv.org

**Watch our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram) for all important updates.

Construction Updates

Many of you have probably noticed that our district buildings are going through a pretty extensive makeover process! Both elementary schools have undergone major renovations this summer. While they are not entirely completed, they will be safe for our children to return to school. The middle/high school had less projects slated for this year, but you will still see a few new things. If you would like to read up on the list of projects, visit our website https://www.lqpv.org/News/107#sthash.ToKJR25m.dpbs
