It's hard to believe that we are headed into Spring with all of the snow and cold weather in the valley. While we push hard to finish strong with students before Spring Break, we are also engaging in some planning for next year...it's an exciting time. We're hoping these updates find you well. Celebrating PHS Staff:
National SRO Appreciation Day was on Feb. 15th. We showered officer Hull with gratitude, as we are so thankful for all that he does for our school and community.
We celebrated Classified Staff Appreciation Week this week. Classified Staff is the backbone of the work in schools and we're showering them with thanks and love.

Spring Break Dates:
Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 - Sunday, April 2nd, 2023
Special Schedule: Since we have a little over a week for Spring Break, the days leading up to our release we will run a special schedule. Students will have periods 1-7 Monday through Wednesday that week.
We are encouraging students to button up their grades before the break, as the end of the quarter fast approaches upon our return (End of Quarter 3: April 7th).
Introducing Paper:
We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Paper to provide free, 24/7 access to 1-on-1 tutoring and writing support for all 9th-12th grade students. There’s a lot to be excited about with Paper’s Educational Support System, including:
1:1 live-chat tutoring sessions with subject-matter experts in over 200 subjects and four different languages.
Expert review on any written work (essays, creative writing, poetry, lab reports, etc.).
Hundreds of resources and activities to help you best support your student(s) at home.

Your student(s) can access this incredible resource today! Have them go to app.paper.co, search for their school, and log in to start a tutoring session. You and your student can also download the Paper mobile app for additional access anytime, anywhere.

Power School
We use PowerSchool for:
- Updating Grades
- Recording Absences and Tardies
- Teacher-to-Parent direct communication
- Registration
After Spring Break, we start gearing up for next year with online registration, and you'll need access to your parent PowerSchool account.
There is a PowerSchool App for Android and Apple users that makes checking in on your student very easy. Check it out!

We've finished up our state testing in the subject area of English Language Arts and Science. We will hit Math in May.
Current Juniors and families are invited to our Junior Parent Night on April 19th from 6-7:30 PM. You'll learn about all things college: financial aid, admissions, and the next steps.
