Veterans Day November 11, 2020
Wednesday, November 11, 2020
This year we had a Veteran's parade with a drive through lunch pick up. The Veteran's lined up in their vehicles and drove around the blocks of the school.
Students lined the streets waving and showing love to the Veterans. As they drove through the High School parking lot, Mr. Mills introduced each one. It was wonderful to see this small town pride.

Jr Bustamante tossed a 12 yard pass to Clay Vincent to open the scoring. Logan Burley trotted in 10 yards untouched to notch the Pirates 2nd score, and Jake Laque bulldozed his way in from 1 yard out for the go ahead touchdown with 6 min left in the game. Sammy Bustamante led all rushers with 109 yards.
Defensively, the Pirates shut the Longhorn run game down and caused two turnovers. Christian Martinez picked off a Harper pass in the endzone to stop one of the 3 drives the Horns had in the red zone. The Pirates held firm with 3 min left in the game thwarting a Harper challenge deep in the red zone to seal the victory.
We thank our Seniors Clay Vincent/Emilio Morales/Haiden Hass/Sammy Bustamante/Kevin Ceneiceros for their leadership, hard work, and we wish you all the best.
It's a great day to be a Pirate!
