Facts:
1. He died at 81 years of age
2.He was tried and found guilty of treason
3.Jefferson Davis was captured in Irwin County
4.he was released from prison for $100,000 bail
5.He served under Zachary Taylor and fell in love with his daughter
6.Zachary Taylor refused to give his daughter’s hand in marriage to a military man because it was not a life he wished for his child
7.Davis resigned from the military giving up his commission to marry Sarah Taylor

What I Think
I think that he was a good president until he resigned. but I still don't understand why he evacuated the capital in Richmond, Virginia. I don't like how he was a slave holder and fought to keep the slaves.

3. Why was Jefferson Davis fighting for the south? - He believed in slavery and he was a slave holder
