Links to Remote Learning for Week of November 16-20
WE are grateful...
Hello Wilkesboro families! We are calling tonight with some updates for the week of November 16-20. You can find more details about your child’s class below by clicking on your teacher.
The days of November have passed so quickly, and we are in our final week before the Thanksgiving holidays. We are proud of our students for their hard work these past few months, and we are grateful for your support.
We have an important reminder to keep our community safe. If someone in your household has been tested for Covid-19 or has symptoms, please make sure to keep your child at home until test results are back. Our school nurses are available to answer your questions about situations like this, and you can reach out to them by phone, email, or on ClassDojo.
On Friday, we sent home pictures from our second picture day in October. Strawbridge Studios will be here on Wednesday, November 18 for make up pictures. If your child missed having his or her picture made at school, please make sure to let your teacher know. If you didn’t like your child’s pictures and want a re-take, please send the pictures back to school with your child on Wednesday. Picture forms are available from the front office for anyone who wants to order pictures.
We’d like to let you know that Tuesday, November 17 is an early release day for all students. We will dismiss school at 12:30.
On Friday, we will have a special green and gold day to celebrate our WE spirit! Please wear your green and gold!
As a heads up, we’d like to let you know that school will be closed for students for the week of November 23-27. We hope that your family enjoys this break and stays safe during the Thanksgiving holidays.
It’s been a year of adjustments, and we’re grateful for your patience, support, and encouragement from home. Thank you and have a great evening!

For students who continue with remote learning note that in order for us to count your child in attendance off site, we must on a daily basis verify that the student is engaged (completing and submitting assignments), on pace (participating in the virtual classroom), or receiving academic/emotional support (directly from the teacher). If this isn't happening, your child will be counted absent. Please make sure that your child is submitting work and that you are communicating with the teacher daily. Thanks in advance for your help!
