Australians that fought in World war two fought in the pacific, East Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. In World War 2. Over 993000 Australians server in World War two and of that number 27073 died, 23477 were wounded and 30560 were taken prisoner and out of that 8296 died in captivity.

Changes for Women

Women in war took on the roles of men in the work force and also went with the men as nurses and in Australia there was a women's navy and a group of women dedicated to finding information through radio.
