Moved to FRIDAY, September 24th!

Together, We Run For The GOLD! (Friday, 9/24)

Rain Date: 9/24/21

Dear BME Families,

Due to the rainy forecast, we are needing to move our Jog-A-Thon date to this Friday, September 24th. It looks to be beautiful with sunshine and pleasant temperatures.

Please note:

  • We will follow the same schedule as planned (see below)
  • Send students with a refillable water bottle to use throughout the day.
  • If they have their JogAThon shirt, please have them wear it on Friday. Some teachers sent shirts home, and some have kept the student shirts at school. Please check with your child's teacher if you have questions.

Dear Boone Meadow Families,

Yippee!! Boone Meadow Elementary PTO is excited to announce the return of our main fundraiser event, the Jog-A-Thon! Jog-A-Thon will be held on Friday, September 24th as this is scheduled as the rain date.

The Jog-A-Thon is unique because all ZCS elementary school PTOs and local sponsors come together to make it possible. We are pleased that this event will benefit the entire school community through fitness, school spirit and financial support. This year’s theme is, Together, We Run for The Gold!

Please note the following information:

  • T-Shirts: Generous local sponsors have provided a t-shirt for every child participating. The t-shirts will be given to students by their teacher to wear on the day of Jog-A-Thon.
  • Timeline: Each class will be assigned a time for outdoor fun with music and classroom cheers.
  • Location: Jog-a-Thon will take place on the lot behind Boone Meadow. Students will be given time to walk/jog/run as many laps as they can.
  • Cheer Section (visitors): We will have a designated area for families to visit, view, and cheer. Please check in at the front doors and then you will be directed where to go at that time. For the safety of students, visitors should stay in the designated "cheer section" to cheer for your child.
  • Volunteers: Pre-arranged volunteers will be setting up for the event, assisting so it runs smoothly, and supporting staff & students as needed. Volunteers should not bring other children with them as volunteers will be busy supporting the students. The SignUp Genius link is provided.

Funds Raised:

Over the years and moving forward, 100% of the proceeds raised from Jog-A-Thon remain for the BME students and teachers. Through the historical generosity, our donations from Jog-A-Thon have been directed toward technology for classrooms, music instruments to enhance music, a climbing structure for the gymnasium, new STEM equipment for our Science Technology Engineering and Math program, a playground shade structure, field trip transportation and numerous teacher classroom grants.

  • Please complete the pledge form and place your donation in the envelope provided to your student.
  • Return donation envelopes to your child’s teacher.
  • Donations can also be made online via SchoolPay, cash or check (payable to BME PTO) are also accepted.

PTO is challenging each student to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges for the Jog-A-Thon. All participation will help us achieve our overall school goal of $25,000. Students who submit their $50 pledge by Tuesday, September 21nd will be entered into an early bird drawing for a special prize. All final donations are due back to the school by Friday October 8th.

Pledge forms can be found on the backside of the letter sent home with your child. Also note that Boone Meadow Elementary PTO is a not-for-profit organization and any donation made to the BME PTO is tax deductible!
