A Word From Our Principal

First of all, I would like to thank everyone that made it out to our Parent Teacher Conferences. We truly appreciate all the support you give to our staff. We hope that the conferences were valuable to you and your child. As we look ahead there are only a few weeks in December and January before the semester ends on January 26th. I would encourage you to look at your student’s progress in each class. Our awesome teachers are available after school to provide any extra help they might need for classes.

Parents of Seniors, as we are reaching the halfway point of your child's senior year, please check with them and remind them to follow up with the emails they are receiving from our High School Counselor Kate Anderson. She shares a lot of important senior information with them (scholarships and college visits, etc.) This is definitely an exciting time as they make provisions moving ahead towards a new adventure in their lives.

In preparation for the 2018 - 2019 school year, students will be receiving some information about pre-registration for the next school year classes. This information is helpful for us to determine how many sections of each class to offer next year. Students will not actually be registering officially for classes until later in the school year.

The pre-registration is a two-part process:

  • First - a worksheet that can help them pick out their classes this year and further.
  • Second - a Google Survey that will be filled out and this will give us the numbers we need for future scheduling. We need ALL students to fill this out.

December is a great month!!! We have many things to look forward our WOLVES Basketball Season! Catch both teams this Friday, December 1st as we have a home doubleheader home game vs Mount Vernon Christian! Cheer on our Wolves!!!

Also, come join us on Thursday, December 7th at 6:30 pm in the commons as we enjoy our talented Band and Choir perform in the CMS/CHS Winter Concert.

Our Island Weather can be quite unpredictable, you will be contacted if our school will be running on the Inclement Weather Schedule or school cancellation. For updates, you can go to, local news stations: KING 5, KIRO 7, KOMO 4, FOX 13.

Everyone enjoy your holidays as we look forward to our winter break! Winter Break begins Wednesday, December 20th through January 1st!!!

Guidance from our Counselor...

The CHS College and Career Fair on November 17th was a great success! We had over 40 visitors representing various colleges, military branches, apprenticeships, work training programs, and a variety of different careers. Students in grades 8-12 rotated through the fair, asked questions, and connected with representatives. Stay tuned for information about next years fair!

Seniors - remember to check the scholarship bulletin and apply for every scholarship that you meet the qualifications for. All seniors planning to attend college next year who are in need of financial aid should have the FAFSA completed.

Family Access

Family Access, Student Access, and Student Emails

All students have an email account at school through the school district’s Google account. Students can login to their email from any computer with Internet connection. This is a helpful tool for saving schoolwork and keeping in touch with teachers and staff. Student Access is also given to students so that they can check their homework, messages from teachers, see class schedules and much more. Family Access is provided to all parents/guardians so that they can see class schedules, pay fees/fines and lunch accounts, grades, etc. Student and Family Access links are found at the Coupeville School District Website.
