Davis Richmond E-News
May 28, 2021
This school year has been a unique and memorable one. Whether you were learning at home or at school this year, we are amazed at how we all came together as a Davis Richmond community to help and support each other. We are thankful for the hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff throughout this time. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you in the fall!

Second Grade Virtual Field Trip to Richmond
Our second graders were very excited to zoom into third grade classes at Richmond. The second graders had a chance to see the school virtually and meet a third grade teacher. They even had a list of questions the current third graders answered. They learned a lot about Richmond and third grade expectations. Richmond even sent over a “gift” for all of the students. They received a cool Richmond backpack with all kinds of summer activities. Thank you Richmond!
High School Senior Clap out
Davis had a wonderful visit from Davis alumni last Friday. We honored the East High School graduates with a clap out as they paraded around the building. The seniors were touched to see their old school and see the teachers who meant so much to them. The students had a blast cheering them on!
Davis Remote Students!
Please stop by the Davis office for your summer backpack. We have lots of fun summer activities for you to enjoy! You can pick them up during office hours 7:30-3:00.
It’s Gardening Time!
The Davis garden is on it’s way to producing flowers, herbs, vegetables, berries, and even pumpkins and watermelons! Ms. Thomas gave her students lessons in planting the different types of plants and the second graders had a blast using their green thumbs in the Davis garden. We can’t wait to visit over the summer to see what is blooming. Feel free to weed and water if you happen to stop by!
High School Senior Clap out
Thank you to all of our students for making our seniors feel special during their clap out. We wish our seniors the best of luck in their bright futures ahead!

We believe that by listening to families like yours and working together as a community we can make a difference for all young children so that they are healthy, safe, eager to learn, and ready to succeed.
