They're not only handsome and smart, they are dedicated and talented athletes! God's blessings and love go with our Boys' Basketball team, cheerleaders and coaches this weekend as they compete in the Lutheran schools tournament at St. James, Lafayette. Go Crusaders!

Come Visit Guatemala!

Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade and Kindergarten classes are sharing all they've learned about Guatemala at a Learning Fair this week! "Viva Guatemala" will be open for visitors on Tuesday, February 9 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the school gym.

The students took a virtual field trip to Guatemala during Lutheran Schools Week and continued to dig a little deeper using their research skills. Come learn more about the animals, food, land, music and culture with our students as your teachers!

Your family can also stop in at the Pancake Supper in the cafeteria, hosted by Trinity Youth, between 4:30-5:30. Viva Guatemala!

Enrollment for 2016-17

Enrollment packets for the next school year were sent home with students this week, so please be sure to check those backpacks!

Current school families are given priority for enrollment beginning Tuesday, February 16. Open Enrollment for the community begins March 1st.

We are hosting an Open House on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 12-2pm and everyone is invited to attend!

Grandparents' Open House

Our annual celebration of Grandparents' Day was postponed this year due to construction, so rather that continue to wait any longer, we are planning an afternoon Open House for Friday, March 18th. Classrooms will be open for them to visit from 1- 2:30 pm, and it will be a time to do some playing and learning together.

Please watch for more information and save the date!

The season of Lent marks the 40 days of preparation for our Savior's death and resurrection at Easter. We begin this time of prayer and reflection on Ash Wednesday. Please join our students at the 8:15 service this Wednesday, February 10.

CPR/AED Training

It's Healthy Heart month, so Parish Nurse Stephanie Stanley is hosting CPR/AED Classes each Saturday in February. Classes begin at 9am, and usually don't last longer than 4 hours. You must RSVP to participate by e-mailing Nurse Stanley directly @stephaniestanley@trinityl.org. The cost of the class is $10 dollars a person, or $15 per family. This is a significant savings from many other programs and a great opportunity for you or your family to be prepared for an emergency situation.
