Indoor sports have started at Chiddix and we want to make sure we have a fun, respectful, and safe time together! Here are some expectations for our students and families.
2. Student behavior in the gym: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe
- This includes cheering positively, staying in your seat, and hands to yourself
- Any student not following our PBIS motto will be asked to leave.
- If a student is not picked up in a timely manner, they will require a parent to accompany them for any future events.
- Pick-up will be at the front entrance of our building after games.
- Towards ALL athletes, officials, coaches, other parents, and supervisors.
- If you are disrespectful at a sporting event, home or away, we have the right to ban you from all Chiddix athletic games.

Unit 5 Walk-In Wednesdays
This is a one-stop opportunity to learn more information and apply for Paraprofessional (teaching assistant), Substitute Teacher, and Sub Teaching Assistant opportunities.
The walk-in event is from 12 to 2 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 21 and 28, at the Unit 5 District Office, 1809 W. Hovey in Normal.
There will be individuals there to help guide people through the process.
Unit 5 has many full-time positions open immediately. These positions provide fully-paid medical and dental benefits. Part-time positions are also available, and these also include access to medical and dental benefits.
It is important to note; a recent change allows individuals to get a short-term paraprofessional license if you hold a high school diploma or equivalent. You will still need to apply and obtain the license but it is so much quicker and easier.
Please join the Unit 5 team and make a difference in the lives of our students. #unit5pride
