This Is How We Lakeview
February Edition: Volume 3
There is a lot of information going out this week, so please read carefully.
Earlier this week, the district put out the Transition to Green (ALL hybrid students return to school full time) date of April 5th. This plan will be presented to the Board of Education at the February 22nd meeting. As we have more information, we will share that with our families. If you missed the message, I have linked it here.
It was also shared that COHORT A will be making up this last snow day on Wednesday, March 3rd so if your student is cohort A, please plan on them being in school that day. Bussing will be provided.
Monday, February 22nd is the start of Trimester 3, please have your student log in to Infinite Campus and check their schedule so that they know which electives they are going to. If the school counselors made any changes to schedules, they emailed an updated schedule to the student.

We will be sending the Junior High Scheduling Hub out to the families on this day as well. Please plan on taking time the week of February 22nd to look over the hub with your student, there are videos and other documents to help them through the scheduling process.
Attached is the scheduling timeline with the links to the March 1st virtual parent meetings. Please note that there are different links for Lakeview and Ridgeview. The meetings will be a brief overview of the scheduling process followed by a Q&A session with school counselors and administrators. Families with 6th grade students going into 7th grade can join the meeting at 6:30 PM, and our families of 7th graders going into 8th grade can join at 7:30 PM.

The Community Corner
Recent Updates
Cohort B’s Change Chat about leadership and goal setting took place today, and we had a great turnout. Students discussed who they view as leaders, what makes those people leaders, and what drives leaders to make a difference. Students began to discuss how many of us have leadership qualities within us, as many of the same things that drive leaders, drive us, too.
Seventh-grade students also learned about the opportunity they have to apply to serve on the Lakeview Leadership Team next year. The application will be available to all 7th-grade students through their team’s Google Classroom page, so even if your student did not attend the Change Chat and is interested in applying, they have access to the application. Students can apply through the end of the school day on Friday, March 12.
- Families, if you have any ideas about what we could do in the building to support our students, staff, and families regarding their sense of belonging to the school community, please use the Family Feedback Form (linked below). As our students have heard throughout the year, our number-one goal is that every single one of our students, staff, and families feel welcomed and valued.
