From Admin

Dear HFCS Families,

Thank you for taking the time to meet with our staff during Parent Teacher Interviews last week. We value the partnership we share with families as it helps us to best support our students and foster success. We would also like to send our heartfelt appreciation to HFCS School Council for providing a delicious supper for us last Thursday night. This kind gesture nourished both our bodies and souls. We are so blessed to be part of such a supportive community!

Have a wonderful week,

Helen and Gillian

Catholic School Review

On November 2nd and 3rd, our school will be participating in a Catholic School Review. Over the next few years, all GSACRD schools will be reviewed. Alberta Education developed this process, which involves gathering data and evidence through surveys, interviews, documentation review, and general observations. To make this a success, we need your assistance. More information will follow later this week.

Food Donations

We are called to ARISE - to become Christ for others by loving them and supporting them. Throughout the month of October, HFCS will be collecting food items for Sacred Heart Parish in Edmonton. This community has great needs throughout the year and will really benefit from our help. Students are invited to bring in non-perishable food items to school. We will be accepting donations until Friday, October 28th. Let's see how much we can collect - together we can make a difference!

Halloween Dance

Friday, Oct. 28th, 6:30-8:30pm

St. Albert, AB

Friends of Holy Family are happy to announce that we once again can offer our annual Halloween Dance! Costumes, goodies, and games can be expected!

Halloween at Holy Family

We are inviting students to dress in Halloween costumes or Black/Orange on Monday, October 31st. We request that the costumes reflect the fun of the day, not be frightening to our younger children, and not include plastic/face-covering masks, weapons, or props as these can be distracting and may get misplaced. The HFCS Student Leadership Team is planning Halloween stations for students to participate in during the afternoon. We are also looking forward to our annual costume parade!

Holy Family Catholic Parish

We are dedicated to building a Catholic, Christian community that prepares our students to know, model, and witness Jesus Christ. Our faith theme this year is ”ARISE: GO WITH GOD”. Pope Francis speaks directly to all young people, especially students, with a call to ARISE. He wants to inspire today’s youth to use their God-given gifts and talents to make the world a better place.

Looking ahead
