The Lutheran Hour
Kang-Min's Story
When we first met Kang-Min, he was an atheist. A graphic designer in Korea, he enjoys woodworking after spending long hours on the computer. He finds it releasing to work with his hands.
Kang-Min felt no need for God. In fact, he loathed Christianity... but was curious about Martin
Luther's role in history. One day, he visited a friend's studio, where they watched a video about the Reformer. Luther's search for truth gripped Kang-Min's heart, and eventually, he contacted Lutheran Hour Ministries. The conversation lasted 4 hours.
Despite his successful career, Kang-Min admitted, he ached with loneliness. He considered how Martin Luther had felt alone and told us he wanted to know the God that had comforted Luther. Week by week, the staff walked with Kang-Min as he sought answers to his questions.
Within 6 months, Kang-Min was a Christian, too.
He was so excited about his new faith, he handcrafted a cross, which he gave to the ministry staff. "The cross means something to me now," Kang-Min explained. "It symbolizes my faith in Jesus." Today, we display the cross at our ministry center in Korea, where it serves as a reminder of God's grace to Kang-Min and every believer.
Thank you for your loving support. Your prayers and giving enable LHM to share Christ's comfort with individuals like Kang-Min in Korea, the United States, and around the globe.

"Can I Get a Witness?"
Speaker Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler
How did Christianity become the dominant faith of Western Civilization? It's partly arithmetic, but mostly, it isn't. (Luke 24:48)
You can listen to The Lutheran Hour on KLBJ on Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. or online at lutheranhour.org, through a mobile app, and on new media platforms like Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Sirius XM satellite radio.
