Navigation Notes

Hello Westside Families! We hope you enjoyed the long weekend. This week is FTE Survey Week which uses our student counts to determine funding for next year. These funds support the correct amount of teacher allocations and special programs here at Westside. Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Have your students here and on time each day this week. **Remember our side car loop doors close at 7:55a**
  • Apply for Free & Reduced Lunch by Thursday, Feb. 10th (even if you don't need it) by clicking HERE. We are VERY close to the cutoff percentage which determines if we keep or lose Title 1 status, so please consider taking a moment to apply to help Westside!

We have two exciting opportunities coming up next week! On February 15th, we will host FREE Mobile Fingerprinting Event for anyone who wants to become a Registered Volunteer with BPS and our Title 1 FREE Science Night! See below for more details.

Please don't forget to send back your child's Parent Consent for Healthcare form. This allows the school to give medical support as needed. If you need another form, please stop by our office or ask your child's teacher. If you do not return a form, it is considered a "NO" for medical care.

Again, just a reminder of upcoming days off. Please mark in your calendars the following dates where schools will be closed: Feb. 18th & Feb. 21st (4-day weekend)

Thank you again to all families who donated to our PTO's Penny War! We raised over $1200 to support outdoor play for the students! Winners were Kinder, 3rd, and 6th! Each class in those grade levels will receive a pizza party from PTO!

As always, feel free to reach out to us with any positive feedback or concerns. We look forward to another amazing semester together!
