Parent Teacher Committee (PTC)

Hello, Sacred Heart Families! We are the Parent Teacher Committed (PTC). We are a group of parents dedicated to a partnership between Sacred Heart Catholic School and Families. The PTC is made up of several sub committees (listed below) so that parents can volunteer where their interests and strengths lie. If you are interested in joining an amazing group of parents for camaraderie and service; please join us for our next meeting: Tuesday, October 11th, 5:30 pm, in the Marion rooms located near the gym at Sacred Heart. Many hands make light work!

PTC Sub Committees: Teacher Appreciation Committee, Student Appreciation Committee, School Support Committee, Family Support Committee, and the Santa’s Workshop Committee,

Sacred Heart Garden Grant

Beat the Winter Chill and Dream Green!

Do you have a green thumb or an interest in learning something new? Come join the Learning Garden Steering Committee! Thanks to a grant from the Whole Kids Foundation, we have ‘seed money’ to start an edible learning garden at Sacred Heart.

All the fun of deciding how the garden looks and functions is up to our community. The committee will meet approximately once per month using a hyflex model that allows participation when your schedule permits--in-person or remotely, at either the set meeting time or by reviewing the recorded meeting and sending your thoughts at a time that works for you. In other words, if you want to participate you can, and we would love to have you.

We are excited to help create a beautiful and sustainable garden for SHCS students to enjoy and learn from. For more information reach out to Molly at mmcgraw@stthomas.edu by Wednesday, 10/26.

Please use SignUp as well to claim your volunteer hours.

PARENT SESSION

"Psychological Wellness Begins at Home" — October 11, 7:00 p.m.

Our children are more stressed and anxious than any time in modern history. How we parent and manage emotions at home can protect our children and bolster their emotional resilience, or it can hinder development and make things worse. This session will focus on parenting strategies that promote healthy psychological development. The influences of technology, pressures of modern life, and common parenting mistakes will be discussed. Parents will leave with concrete strategies to help their children thrive.
