#Outstanding The American Legion Post 120 kindly made a donation to 5 teachers earlier in the month to help them out with their classroom supply requirements. The post recognizes that many teachers use their personal funds in order to ensure their classrooms have the necessary materials. The post wanted to help members, who are teachers, with that expense. Presentations were made by Commander David Borland and Chaplain Pete Campbell. Teachers receiving the gift cards were Deb Murray, Angie DeClerck, Gina Landry and pictured, Whitney Krocke and Tad Manske. | #UnityGananda's Student Organization of Mental Health Awarness (SOMHA) joined thousands of people who came together last weekend to walk in support of those who are struggling from the rising suicide rates. A whopping combined total of $170,335 was raised by all of the walkers. Gananda's team has raised $920 out of their goal of $2000 so far. You can help them reach their goal by donating to the Gananda Team Page. | #Respect #Unity The first Middle School Dress Code Committee took place yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, September 24. Students along with staff began looking over the current dress code and made suggestions as to what they would like to see changed. The committee will meet several times to develop a dress code that is fair and appropriate for all. |

Flu season can begin as early as September and last as late as May. Your best bet is to get a flu shot early in the season so your body has a chance to build up immunity to the virus. It takes about two weeks for the flu shot to protect you.

Concession Volunteers Needed!
Financial Aid Night at Ruben A. Cirillo High School Tomorrow!
The counseling office is excited to host our annual Financial Aid Night tomorrow, Thursday, September 26th at 7:00pm in the high school library. Mr. Joe Bailey, Director of Financial Aid at Genesee Community College, will conduct a presentation on all things related to financial aid for post-secondary education, including the ins-and-outs of the FAFSA, scholarships, grants, loans, filing deadlines and more! This presentation is one of the most important you can attend as a family as you prepare for the next chapter in your student’s educational life. PLEASE make every attempt to bring your student with you to this presentation - making an informed decision about college includes an awareness and understanding of the financial aid process and obligations. We look forward to a packed house!
