The Rowlatt Act

- Passed by the Imperial Legislative Council in February 1919
- Was enacted during the first World War
- A curfew was placed on the Indian people
- The people were not allowed to perform revolutionary acts (revolutionary meetings, fights, etc.)
- The Indian people resented the act, which led to the massacre of Amristar and Gandhi's non-cooperation movement
- Didn't allow jury cases to go to court
