Cultures and Customs

Russian culture has a rich, long history including literature, ballet, painting, and classical music. Some customs include:
  • Most families live in small apartments, often with 2 or 3 generations sharing little space.
  • Most families are small, often with only one child because most women must also work outside of the house in addition to having sole responsibility for household and childcaring chores.
  • They are also very proud of their country, and proud to be Russian.

Government Ways

The government of Russia is the Russian Federation. The members of the government are the Prime Minister of Russia, the deputy of prime ministers, and the federal ministers. According to the Russian Constitution, the President of Russia was head of the executive branch and headed the Council of Ministers of Russia.

Flag History

Russia's flag design is almost 300 years old and was adopted on August 21st, 1991. It is sometimes called the "Imperial Flag". The hight is two-thirds the width and consists of three horizontal bands of white, blue, and red.
