LCS Continuity of Learning Plan
In developing Linden’s Learning Plan, we wanted to create a structured approach to the learning process that was simple to understand, easy to follow, and allowed the focus to remain on the student. We have unpacked our Learning Plan to highlight some key items that are important for students and their families.
Our Continuity of Learning Plan, is posted on the LCS website and was approved by the Genesee Intermediate School District and filed with the Michigan Department of Education. I appreciate your patience, and I appreciate all the work and effort that went into creating a plan that was centered on our students.
If you have not already, please take a minute to review our plan, which is located on our website. If you have any questions, please contact your student's building principal.

Looking Forward to 2020-21
First and foremost, we are anticipating that when we start school in the fall, we will be back to "normal." Normal is our traditional face to face daily educational process. We are also looking at options that would include face to face instruction with social distancing standards, investigating is a hybrid approach that would include both face to face and virtual instruction, and a setting that would be 100% virtual.
We feel that having multiple return-to-school options will put Linden students in a situation to be successful when the 2020-21 school year starts. Be assured that we will conform to any social distancing standards and/or directives from the state. Our goal is to create a learning environment that is safe for our students and staff.
We will continue to communicate Linden Community Schools' return-to-school plan as more information becomes available.
LCS Bond Proposal
While the Linden Board of Education still supports the LCS Bond Proposal, we also feel that supporting our community is a priority. For that reason, the Board of Education has made the decision to not put the LCS Bond Proposal question on the August ballot. We will continue to discuss the placement of the bond proposal question for the November 2020 election or the May 2021 election.
