Gotcha! Time for some FUN!! Are you game?

Join in on our school wide water gun tag game. Each player gets a target. Tag your target and avoid being tagged yourself! Make a tag and move on to that person’s target. Game ends with the last person standing. $5 entry fee gets you a registered water gun and your first target. Sign up was last week. Kick off meeting Monday, September 21 @ noon in the gym. You heard it right! The Learning Commons is officially opening on Tuesday, September 22. Apply Alberta Account Set-Up Sessions

All grade 12 students planning to go to college or university in Alberta next fall will need to set up an “Apply Alberta” account before applying to post secondary. Ms. Halter will be hosting sessions to help students do this. The schedule is as follows: Mon. Sept. 21 (Block 1), Tues. Sept. 22 (Block 4), Wed. Sept 23 (Block 4), and Tues. Sept. 29 (Block 1)

All sessions will take place in the Learning Commons. Students MUST SIGN UP in advance as space will be limited to 15 students per session.


Students are encouraged to book a career appointment with Ms. Halter in Grade 12 to explore career options, to look at education or training requirements needed to obtain employment in a particular field, to learn about post-secondary programs and gain information on scholarships. Alberta Post Secondary Institution Fair - REMINDER

The Alberta Post Secondary Institution Information Fair will be taking place virtually on Thursday September 24 from 6 pm - 8 pm. (This is the same fair that has been held in previous years in our gym. Due to Covid-19, the event is taking place online this year.) Students need to register in advance to attend this virtual event. To register now please use this link: This same link will be the one you use to access the virtual fair on September 24. An email will be sent to all students (grade 10, 11, 12) with additional information about the event, along with tips on how to prepare. Let Ms. Halter know if you have questions.


Join Student Voice! Help plan school events, activities and service projects. Share your ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community. Sign up sheet outside room 2001 this week. Meetings will be held Thursdays @ lunch beginning on September 24.

Friday October 2nd 2020 7-9pm. Do you have a talent you'd like to showcase? Register by scanning the code on the Coffee House flyers found throughout the school, or see Jeannette in the Youth Ministry office (room 1305) The top 5 performances will be selected to perform with St. Joe's top 5 on Friday October 16th. Performers are going to be asked to pre-record their performances before October 2nd, and the school community will be invited to join the virtual coffee house to support. Details on how to access the event will come at a later date!


Wednesday Sept. 23rd at 8:00 am-Join your school community to pray for our school around the flagpole. This is an annual event that happens across North America.


Prayer and Praise is back! Both in person and over instagram Live @rdcrsym! Thursday mornings in the ND Chapel at 8:10am. If you would like to sign up, you can weekly scan the QR code outside of the chapel or outside of the youth ministry office.


If you are interested in leading prayer over the intercom in the mornings, there will be a meeting at lunch on Tuesday September 22nd in the Youth Ministry office. Room 1305-Great way to gain religion hours!

NEW CLASS: ND Entrepreneurship!

This is an amazing and unique opportunity for you to receive CTS credits through, well, anything you can set your sights on! Anything that you are passionate about, interested in, perhaps a skill or talent that that you have ... If you enroll in this class, you are able to create a meaningful project and gain CTS credits. That project could be a product, an event, a campaign... any sort of initiative that you take. You are able to sit down with Mme Gabert, tell her what you are interested in, and together we will find CTS credits! This is an awesome opportunity as it's entirely student driven, and it would look great on a resume or college application.
