Welcome Back to the 2021-2022 School Year!


Dear Montvale Families,


I hope that this MCC newsletter finds everyone staying healthy and enjoying the summer with friends and family. The Montvale School District is in the process of preparing our 2021-2022 Montvale Child Care registration. Registration will open on Monday, August 2, 2021. Both Fieldstone Middle School and Memorial Elementary School will continue to use Community Pass for monthly billing and registration.


Starting in September, our program will return to normal hours:


  • Mornings from 7:00 am to 8:30 am
  • Afternoons from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm


Along with returning to normal hours, we are reinstating the coupon book for drop-in situations. Drop-in situations are for families who find a few times during the school year where they may need to rely on before or aftercare but not on a consistent basis. Coupon books can be purchased for $150. Each book contains 10 tickets that are good throughout the school year. If families purchased a coupon book during the 2019-2020 school year, and have coupons left, we will still honor those coupons this year. However, you will still need to register your child for the upcoming school year.


There is one change to the MCC program for the 2021-2022 school year. All students are asked to come to MCC with a water bottle. Students will use our filtered water system to provide them with ample drinking water while attending MCC. Water bottles should be labeled with the student's name.

Monthly Tuition Options - Per Child

The following payment table outlines the cost of each registration option for your first child. For a second child, there is a 10% discount on the first child price. The third (or more) child is a 15% discount to the first child price.

Community Pass for MCC

The MCC program will continue to use Community Pass this school year for student registration. Community Pass is a great resource for our program. It will help us streamline our attendance, billing, and many other important aspects of the program. Please click HERE to obtain instructions to register your child(ren) via Community Pass.

Registration Confirmations

After registering for MCC on Community Pass, you should receive a confirmation detailing what you are registered for. The purpose of this summary is to provide immediate notification that your registration has processed and to indicate what information we have regarding enrollment. If any of the information is inaccurate, please notify us as soon as possible to ensure that your son/daughter is accounted for properly.


You are not officially enrolled until payment has been received. Registration is
contingent on your account being in good standing. Please contact the Business Office at
mccbilling@montvalek8.org if you have any billing inquiries. You may be assessed a $5.00 fee for attending before payment has been received.

Using Pikmykid: For MCC families at Memorial...

Communication, especially for before/after school activities, is extremely important. Please know that we take the safety and well-being of our students very seriously, and we do understand the important role that communication plays in our partnership. If you have not done so already, please assist us by downloading the Pikmykid app, and making the following adjustments whenever needed.


When setting the default pickup type for your son/daughter on the Pikmykid app, please set your default to "After School". From there, you will need to change the pickup type for any given day that needs to be changed; e.g. "Parent Walk Up", "Intramurals", "Kids Club", "Choir", etc. If it is a recurring event, there is an option to change as such. Students will then be dismissed from their classroom to that club/activity. This avoids students forgetting they have something that day, while ensuring they still show up on our MCC attendance. MCC students will then be dismissed to MCC after their club/activity ends. When you arrive to pickup your son/daughter, even if arriving at the time that club/activity ends, you should go to the front entrance to pick up from MCC. This will help inform us of which students are present at all times.


Pikmykid should not be used to communicate a different person for pickup from MCC, please communicate that directly to us at mcc@montvalek8.org and/or by adding them as approved for pick-up on Community Pass.

Pack your Child(ren) Lunch for September 1, 2021

September 1, 2021, is the first day of school for our students. It is also a one-session day where the school day ends at 12:55 pm. The MCC program will open at 12:55 pm for our registered students. We are asking everyone to please pack your child(ren) lunch on this day.

September MCC Closing Dates

As we have done in the past, the MCC program will not open when school is closed. During the month of September, MCC will be closed on the following days:



  • Monday, September 6, 2021 - Labor Day
  • Tuesday, September 7, 2021 - Religious Holiday
  • Wednesday, September 8, 2021 - Religious Holiday
  • Thursday, September 16, 2021 - Religious Holiday
