Principal's Message

The month of March has an exciting week for our students. No, it's not report card week. It's Elmdale's Extravaganza Week!!
Monday, March 19th students are encouraged to come to school with their best rendition of wacky hair. On Tuesday, March 20th, we are going to have our 3rd annual pancake breakfast for students. As students get off the bus and arrive at school, students can head to their classroom to drop off their backpack and jacket. Then head down to the gym for some yummy pancakes. For the third straight year, our pancake mix will be donated by Sobey's here in Steinbach and we are very thankful for their donation. We are also grateful to Hank Klassen and his Lions Club members for making pancakes so they are ready for our students as they arrive.

Wednesday, March 21, we encourage all students to dress up in their favourite superhero costume and if you don't have one, just dress up like your favourite hero!. Thursday we will tone things down with a regular dress day. On Friday, March 23rd we will be having our Green Shirt Day! Each student should wear their Elmdale GreenShirt to school

WANTED: Book club volunteers

Elmdale Parents, Guardians and Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles!

The Elmdale Reading Club needs volunteers! Reading Club is for Elmdale students who need some extra practise reading. As a volunteer, your job will be to listen to the students read and give them some positive feedback about how they did. This happens Monday to Friday, from 1:00-1:45. You can volunteer once a week, once every two weeks, or once a month, whatever suits your schedule. We are in need of volunteers Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Family Parking

Located in our main parking lot on the North side of our school, we have our Family Parking lot. This is where all families park to pick up and drop off children. Parents must walk their child from their vehicle to the school playground. Please be aware that at these pick up and drop off times, we have school buses that enter and exit the school parking lot.

Please check our website for the bus pick up times and location near your house.
If your address has changed, please call transportation at 204-320-2347 to make sure that your children are riding the correct bus to and from school.
