Message from the Principal:
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. It is the time set aside each year to honor our educators who have dedicated their professional lives to helping your children. During this prolonged pandemic, teachers have reinvented what education looks like on the fly. The commitment to your kids and the improvement of their craft, was amazing to see first hand. Let us all take this time to pause and celebrate these wonderful people!
We are hosting a free COVID vaccine clinic for anyone 16 or older from 1 - 3:30 pm in the Gold Cafe on Monday. Please bring your eligible child, parent, grandparent, family member, neighbor, or yourself! It is a simple, convenient opportunity to get a Pfizer vaccine.
Enjoy your weekends!
In partnership,
Dr. Vivadelli

A Peek Inside Ms. Fitzgerald's Classroom
Evolution has been a hot topic of conversation in Ms. Fitzgerald‘s biology classes. This week, the honors biology students took the conversation to another level: how may humans evolve in the future? After learning about how we got to where we are today and some scientist predictions for the future, the students had their own discussion in a Socratic seminar. The comments and questions that were shared really left them with food for thought.
Cookbook Cover Winner
The Climate and Culture subcommittee is planning a multi-cultural cookbook to be released next school year. Dr. Friedman's art students were asked to design a cover for the cookbook. Congratulations to Ariyanna Wesley whose submission has been chosen, and to the runners up for working on this project. Details about the cookbook will be sent out at a later date.
