In this week's Panther Applause we would like to recognize CHHS Staff Member, Jarvis Johnson. Coach Johnson is in the History Department and coaches football and basketball.
"Jarvis is a true leader. He leads by example and always has time to help others. Jarvis took the time to learn Canvas and shared what he learned with his team. He's patient and tries his best not to jam anyone up. We appreciate all of his hard work."
Mens Panthers Basketball
The Panthers Basketball Team recently competed in the Fall Preview Shootout hosted by the Texas Basketball Championships.
Team 1 and Team 2 had victories over Arlington Heights, Legacy Mansfield, Brock High School and LB Bell.

GCISD Swim Center Buzzes With Weekend Activity
This past Friday and Saturday, October 9-10, marked the first swim and dive meet since the renovation of GCISD's pool and swim center. CHHS swimmers competed against Coronado, Estacado and Monterey, all Lubbock high schools. Congratulations to the top three finishers in each event.
