This Week's Events

Family Conferences: Half-Day Schedule

We will have an abbreviated prep period on Thursday and Friday due to the half days. Your class will go to the same special that you usually do on Thursday and Friday. Here are the prep times by grade:

8:45 - 9:30: Kindergarten Music/Sustainability Classes

9:30 - 10:15: Second Grade Music/Sustainability Classes

10:15 - 11:15: Lunch/Recess

11:15 - 12:00: First Grade Music/Sustainability Classes

First grade, to accommodate prep times, it would be a good plan to have students pack their bags and leave them in their cubbies before recess/lunch time.

Report Printing on Wednesday

We will be printing out student progress reports on Wednesday and will distribute them to your classrooms. Please make sure that all reports are revised and put an X in the "final revisions made?" column of the report tracker so we know each report is ready to print.

Thanks!

Wednesday Planning and Professional Development

1:15 - 1:30: Staff Check-in

1:30 - 2:30: First Grade CST

  • Kindergarten and Second Grade prep in classrooms

2:30 - 4:15: Prepare for Family Conferences

4:15 - 5:15: PLC Session

Appreciations

From Kirsten:

Michelle, thank you for the support you have given me during this report season. I am grateful for your thoughtful editing, encouragement and communication during the process.

Rasha and Madeleine, thank you for our "kid talks". It has really helped me to understand your students better and has given me insight on how to support them. You have created such a caring and inclusive learning environment.

Anna - sending love and support to you and your little one! Also, thank you again for setting up the farm stand each week. It's an incredible learning experience for our students and resource for our whole community!

Lorna and Pascale- The writing celebration was wonderful! It was beautiful to see so many family members writing alongside the students. The kids who shared their work with me were excited to share all of the details of their work. The way that they read and talked about their writing showed how much pride they had in the work they did. - Michelle
