CPR lesson in Careers Class

Toby Young, a Van Alstyne Firefighter, took the time to give a CPR lesson to Coach Penn's Careers Class. The students learned about the importance of this lifesaving technique and had the opportunity to practice. We appreciate Mr. Young for taking the time to spend with our students.

Van Alstyne ISD Child Nutrition News

The Van Alstyne ISD Child Nutrition staff has made the decision, after speaking with Blue Bell Ice Cream representatives, to immediately suspend all sales of Blue Bell products sold at all of our campuses. Although the ice cream we sell does not come from the Broken Arrow Oklahoma facility in question for contamination, we have decided to pull the products for now as a precautionary action due to the size of the recall. We appreciate our partnership with Blue Bell and their concern for the health of our students. The recall, at this time, is indefinite. If you have any questions, please contact Child Nutrition director, Denise Richardson at 903-482-8850.
